Cross-team collaboration and solution
I managed a team of 3 to design and develop a new purchase flow for Nucleus. Nucleus’ brand is about being connected to your loved ones and they needed a way to ship devices from a single purchase to multiple addresses.
Research
After researching deeply into customer insights and the company’s operations and logistics, our research showed customers who purchased multiple devices also wanted a way to have them easily delivered to their loved ones.
Plan
Technical limitations with Shopify at the time made this very difficult without multiple departments working together. I worked with the growth, customer experience, and ops team to design and implement a best-in-class solution which helped the customer feel in-control and confident with their purchase.
Execute
With the improved purchase flow, Nucleus’ average order value increased significantly. Nearly every order had at least 2 devices and 40% of those orders included multiple shipping addresses. Making a customer feel confident in a complex process is essential for building trust. Working with multiple teams is essential to making any new process a success.
